23 Dec 2016 Survivor Law
A MOTHER’S GREEN CARD FROM HEAVEN. Christine decided to remain in the US after she found out that her mother’s health was deteriorating fast. Life as a TNT was hard, but she held on and prayed daily for the strength to persevere and for her mother to hang on. Christine’s fear was that if her mother died, her mother’s petition for Christine would “die” too. After her mother’s death, she consulted with Atty. Michael J. Gurfinkel, and it was as if her prayers were answered. Right after Christine’s mother died, President Obama’s “Survivor Law” was passed which allowed a beneficiary who was in the US at the time of the petitioner’s death to still qualify for a green card, without applying for “humanitarian revalidation” (which requires extensive proof, evidence, and documentation of eligibility and hardship).
