Michael Bhotiwihok is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Michael J. Gurfinkel, Inc. He is a Board Certified Specialist in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Florida Bar.
Michael’s client representation includes nonimmigrant visas (work related, consular processing and change of status) and immigrant visas (PERM/labor certifications, employment based petitions, family based petitions, consular processing and adjustment of status). He possesses significant experience with waivers for fraud/misrepresentation and unlawful presence. Michael represents clients in immigration court proceedings (deportation, removal and bond) with asylum, cancellation of removal, and adjustment of status cases. He successfully reopens clients’ immigration court cases as well as works with Immigration and Customs Enforcement in receiving prosecutorial discretion on behalf of his clients. Michael assists clients through the naturalization process to reach their goal of United States citizenship.
Michael graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctorate along with an International Law Concentration certificate from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Michael is admitted to the Florida Bar, United States District Court Southern District of Florida, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit, and is authorized to practice immigration law throughout the United States.
