Michael J. Gurfinkel has been an attorney for over 30 years. He has always excelled in school: Valedictorian in High School; Cum Laude at UCLA; and Law Degree Honors and academic scholar at Loyola Law School, which is one of the top law schools in California. He is a member of the State Bar of California (passed the bar exam on his first try), the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Immigration Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Atty. Gurfinkel is licensed to practice immigration law throughout the U.S. He is also licensed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Central and Northern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

 

As a public service to the immigrant community, he currently hosts the very popular weekly immigration show, “Citizen Pinoy”, on ABS-CBN’s cable station, “The Filipino Channel” (TFC), which is broadcast in the US and throughout the world. Citizen Pinoy focuses on U.S. immigration laws, issues, and procedures, and presents complex immigration topics in plain terms, enabling viewers to better understand their rights, options and possible solutions to their immigration problems.

 

Atty. Gurfinkel also writes a weekly column, “Immigration Corner,” which is published in numerous newspapers throughout the United States and in the Philippines. He is also the first immigration attorney to produce and host a weekly television talk show, “Immigration Corner,” which was devoted to immigrants and those who wish to immigrate to the U.S.

 

Atty. Gurfinkel’s personal mission has always been to help people legalize their status, be reunited with their families, and live the “American Dream”.

Marat Kleiner

Marat Kleiner is an associate attorney with the immigration law firm of Law Offices of Michael J. Gurfinkel, Inc., which has offices in Glendale, San Francisco, New York and Makati City, Philippines.

 

Marat Kleiner received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1994, and received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law in 1997. While in law school, Marat specialized and focused his concentration on Immigration Law and International Law. He is fluent in Russian.

 

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Michael J. Gurfinkel, Inc., Marat specialized in immigration law working for a prominent Beverly Hills law firm. He practices the full range of immigration law and specializes in employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas. Atty. Kleiner has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (legacy USCIS).

 

Atty. Kleiner is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
