MANY TIMES GRATEFUL
Mrs.
Filomena Faller couldn't be happier: not only did she obtain her
green card through a petition by her employer, but also her son
Joel was able to obtain his green card and arrived in the U.S.
6 days before his 21st birthday. Indeed, Mrs. Faller had so many
reasons to celebrate: she was reunited with her son; her daughter
Judith was graduating from high school, and with this legalization,
Judith could go to college and pursue all the academic opportunities
this country has to offer. But perhaps, the greatest gift for
Filomena was that she was able to travel to the Philippines to
be with her ailing mother before she died of cancer. Filomena
got her green card as a "skilled" worker, even though
she was not a college graduate or a professional.
