DOMA SUCCESS STORY: US CITIZEN WILLING TO UNDERGO SEX CHANGE FOR PARTNER'S GREEN CARD
Gretchen's (left) family did not approve of her relationship with Joelette (right). Gretchen was pursuing her green card as a nurse, but her case was denied due to a wage issue. Joelette, a US citizen, was willing to do anything to help petition her spouse – even to undergo a sex change and become a "man." DOMA was struck down, and with the help of Atty. Michael Gurfinkel (center), Gretchen was able to get a green card in a mere 3 months, through a same-sex spousal petition by Joelette.
SON GETS GREEN CARD EVEN AFTER AGING OUT!
By the time Leah (2nd from left) and Frisco (2nd from right) Gildores' petition became current, their youngest PETN (left) was about to turn 21, and they were afraid he would have to be left behind in the Philippines. They consulted with the Law Offices of Michael Gurfinkel on the eve of his 21st birthday. Fortunately, by utilizing the Child Status Protection Act, Attorney Gurfinkel (right) ensured that their son could join his parents in the US, even after he turned 21.
SAVING MONEY WAS A COSTLY MISTAKE!
Mauro had a drunk driving charge on his record. But he still filed for citizenship so he could bring his family to the US. In filling out the forms, he mistakenly answered "yes" to whether he ever claimed to be a citizen. This resulted in the denial of his citizenship application and almost doomed his green card.
GREEN CARD, DESPITE TNT STATUS AND A "LAWYER" WHO RAN AWAY!
Virgie (left) experienced tragedy after tragedy when her daughter and husband passed away within a one-year period, her ailing parents also needed heart surgery. She came to the U.S. to visit her parents, until she eventually overextended her stay. In hopes of "greener pastures", Virgie went to a supposed "lawyer", who ran out on her, with all her savings. (The person was only a consultant, posing as a lawyer). When her father's petition became current, she listened to wise advice from her family and friends and went to seek the help and services of leading US immigration attorney Michael J. Gurfinkel (right).
FILIPINA WIFE "DISOBEYS" HUSBAND FOR SAKE OF CHILD'S FUTURE
Romeo and Connie got their employment-based green card in 2008, but according to their previous lawyer, the couple could not get their son Remuel on a "follow-to-join" application because he had aged out. When Connie wanted to consult with Atty. Gurfinkel, Romeo said "no", because he felt there was nothing that could be done. But Mommy Connie would not take "No" for an answer, and inspired by an episode on CITIZEN PINOY that was similar to their son's case, she "disobeyed" her husband, and went on to consult with leading US immigration attorney Michael J. Gurfinkel.

Time was fast escaping JR who was about to turn 21, which meant that he would "age out". The fastest way to get JR was for Mommy Zeny to immigrate first through her daughter Lanie's petition.
