REDWOOD CITY, CA. --- When Citizen Pinoy recently went to the fabulous city of Las Vegas, all of the episodes were filled with kapamilya and their burning questions about family petitions, work permits, fiancée visas, appeals, denials and other issues common to almost all viewers. And for those in the audience, it was such a relief --- almost like a refreshing breath of fresh air --- to receive valuable information, answers, and legal knowledge that showed them possible solutions to their problems. This week, Citizen Pinoy is packed with audience questions -- perhaps the same questions that you have!
Also featured as a special guest in this interesting and highly informative episode of CITIZEN PINOY is “Wowowee” main man – Willie Revillame, who was in Vegas that same weekend for his show. Revillame graced the set of CITIZEN PINOY, and as always --- entertained the audience with his witty quips and stories. It was a very impressive and fascinating discovery to find out that celebrity Revillame had a lot in common with leading attorney Gurfinkel --- most especially in their passion and commitment to helping others. Endearingly, on the set, Revillame would call the lawyer “Dad”, while Gurfinkel would refer to the entertainer as “son.”
Revillame would always say in press interviews, or on his popular noontime show, or even while just chatting with friends --- “Lahat ng ginagawa namin sa show ay para sa inyo… para sa ikatutuwa ng mga Pilipino, at higit sa lahat para makatulong sa aming kapamilya. Basta nakikita kong napapaligaya namin kayo, at nakakatulong kami sa pag-unlad ng buhay niyo, natutuwa na rin ako.” (Everything we do on the show is for you… to be able to give joy to the Filipinos… most especially for us to be able to help our “family.” As long as we know that we have entertained you and helped improve your lives even just a little – that is enough to make me happy too.)
Gurfinkel also has always had a soft spot for the Filipino community. This has been proven in his many years of providing immigration counsel to tens of thousands of Filipinos who have come to him for assistance with their immigration concerns.
