REDWOOD CITY, Ca. –In this Sunday’s episode of CITIZEN PINOY --- leading immigration attorney MICHAEL J. GURFINKEL and TV personality GEL SANTOS-RELOS bring you another emotional and inspiring success story.

Pam Cagampan arrived in America in September 2001, amidst the smoke from Ground Zero. She was petitioned as a nurse by her employer in New York. In 2003, she went back to the Philippines to marry her longtime sweetheart Cris. But after a week’s honeymoon they had to separate in order for her to return to her job in New York. Enduring the exhaustion of 12 hours work shifts, and the longing to be with her husband, she took the steps to bring Cris to America, but her lawyers never said it would take a long time.

Meanwhile, with no available work in the Philippines, Cris found a job in Qatar in the Middle East. But her attorney advised that now Cris would soon be processed in Qatar, meaning an even longer delay. Pam was about to give up, and considered following Cris to Qatar. But what about their dream of building a family in America? In December 2004, after another tiring day at the hospital, Pam took the train to downtown New York and was able to consult with “attorney of last hope” Michael J. Gurfinkel, who said he would do his best to reunite this loving couple in the soonest possible time.

Find out what happened to Pam and Cris, and their “American Dream” this Sunday on CITIZEN PINOY.
