REDWOOD CITY, CA. --- Persistence does pay off.
This Sunday, March 11 ,
features the story of Gilbert Munoz. In a span of
15 years, Gilbert applied for a tourist visa 12 times; and
all those (12) times he was denied. But he was intent
on setting foot in America, to be reunited with his parents
and his sister, who migrated in 1994. He was not
able to migrate with them, as he had aged out. He
was petitioned in 1995, but he continued applying every
year for a visitor's visa, even while under petition. When
Gilbert was informed in 2003 that his mother had breast
cancer, his desire to go to the US escalated. He was really
desperate. Before his 13 th attempt at applying for
a tourist visa, he met leading immigration attorney MICHAEL
J. GURFINKEL on ABS-CBN's Manila-produced "Homeboy".
Find out how Gilbert's case progressed from visitor's visa
denial, and ended up with Gilbert getting a green card,
