REDWOOD CITY, CA. --- How long would you be willing to
wait to fulfill a lifelong dream? On the upcoming
episode of CITIZEN PINOY on Sunday,
March 4 , you will hear
the story of Carmela Calimlim, who waited patiently for
10 years for her mother's petition to come through.
She remained single because that was one of the requirements.
And when she went to the US Embassy in Manila for
her visa, she was startled with the news that she had to
wait another five to seven years more! Why? Because
her mother decided to become a US citizen!
Ordinarily, one would think that being a US citizen would
fast track a petition and make the wait shorter.
Apparently, not in this case. Find out how Carmela
was able to "take advantage" of the provisions of the Child
Status Protection Act (CSPA) to avoid the additional wait
and finally realize her dream of being with her aging parents,
who really needed her by their side. This is the
featured story on CITIZEN PINOY this Sunday. Listen
as "attorney of last hope" MICHAEL J. GURFINKEL and TV personality
GEL SANTOS-RELOS discuss this very important immigration
law. Who knows, you or somebody you know could benefit
from the lessons that Carmela and her family also learned
from this experience.
Of course, the show is also filled with other relevant
information and answers to your immigration questions, in
addition to prizes and gifts to lucky audience participants.
CITIZEN PINOY is made possible with the help of Asian Journal,
Seafood City Supermarket, and Chow King. It is also
backed by the support of ABS-CBN Global's key product offerings
(Star Kargo, Starry Starry Store, ABS-CBNnow, Sarimanok
One and TFCDirect). Indeed, the added support of the show's
new sponsors manifests the growing popularity and the success
of CITIZEN PINOY within the Filipino-American community.
Viewers in Southern California will have the chance to
be part of the studio audience and have their immigration
concerns addressed. CITIZEN
PINOY invites you to their studio taping on Sunday,
March 11, 2007 at the Glendale Studios, 1239 South Glendale
Ave, Glendale CA 91205 . Audience call times are

pm . It will definitely be a day full of information
and entertainment, especially since the show will be giving
