REDWOOD CITY, CA. --- After waiting for 16 years, Lala Serdenia went to her interview at the US Embassy in Manila.   She was denied.   Lala Serdenia was petitioned by her mother in 1991.   In 1990, six of her siblings immigrated to the US, but since Lala has already aged out, she was left behind.   Life went on for Lala in the Philippines.   She fell in love, got pregnant, and had a child with her boyfriend in college.

Some hasty decisions and hearsay, including certain declarations in her documents deemed "fraudulent" by the U.S. Embassy, eventually led to the refusal of Lala's immigrant visa application.   Listen to Lala's long journey, her trials, and eventually her triumph - on this Sunday's brand new episode of CITIZEN PINOY!
