hosts Atty. Gurfinkel and GEL SANTOS-RELOS
bring you the next episode of CITIZEN PINOY
on Sunday, Aug 26 at 6:10 pm (PST) with a replay on Tuesday,
Aug 28 at 11:20 pm (PST) on ABS-CBN Global's The Filipino
Channel (TFC). CITIZEN PINOY also airs on ANC-US every Saturday
at 5:00 pm with a replay on Sunday at 9 am, all PST. and

REDWOOD CITY, CA. --- When it comes to the subject
of beauty, she is already a household name among Pinoys.
Her name is often mentioned and acknowledged by popular
showbiz personalities in the Philippines – giving
birth to the typical Pinoy expression “Salamat po
Doktora!” For clearly, her expertise in the field
of beauty is the reason why celebrities and members of the
upper crust of society manage to look flawless, young and
sexy. She is Dr. Vicki Belo – the well-known and most
trusted Dermatologist and Cosmetic Surgeon in the Philippines.
She is the featured guest on the next episode of CITIZEN
PINOY, coming to you this Sunday. No, she is not about to
divulge the secrets of her prominent clientele. But she
does have a very interesting story to tell about her own
encounters with US Customs, and the two “seizures”
she has gone through.
By law, travelers to the U.S. must declare large amounts
of money they are carrying, or risk having the money seized.
On two recent occasions, Dr. Belo became a subject of such
actions, when all the cash she was carrying was “seized”
from her. There is a U.S. Customs Law that requires a traveler
to declare if he/she is carrying money worth more than $10,000
in and out of the U.S. If this is not declared, the money
would then be confiscated. Ignorance of the law is not an
excuse and does not make one exempt from any liability.
Dr. Belo, in her frequent trips to the U.S., attends international
seminars and foreign training. But had a total of more than
$10,000 on these two trips, which she omitted to declare.
Find out what happened, and learn from Dr. Belo’s
harrowing nightmare and traumatic experience, when hosts
leading immigration attorney MICHAEL J. GURFINKEL and broadcast
personality GEL SANTOS-RELOS bring you CITIZEN PINOY this
Sunday, August 26.
