REDWOOD CITY, CA. --- Your most trusted immigration program opens its fifth season with brand new informative, inspiring and entertaining features. For the first three episodes, leading immigration attorney MICHAEL J. GURFINKEL, broadcast personality GEL SANTOS-RELOS and the crew of Citizen Pinoy flew all the way to Manila to tape before a live audience at the ABS-CBN studios in Quezon City. The Pinoy’s reception and response were overwhelming and amazing. There were long lines outside the studios even before the gates were opened to the public -- proof that “kapamilya” back home have a lot of immigration interest and concerns.
Aside from relevant and helpful immigration information supplied by Atty. Gurfinkel, Citizen Pinoy’s brand new episodes are also spiced by celebrity appearances. The first three episodes of the season feature the mother of a world-famous and controversial, but well-loved game show host; a handsome, versatile, top-ranking hunk of an actor; and the popular “Ambassadress of Beauty,” especially to Filipino showbiz personalities. In the new season’s pilot episode, to air on Sunday, August 12 --- viewers will meet Nanay Myrna --- the “bigatin” of San Rafael, Tarlac and the very simple, candid and supportive mother of “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame. Despite the huge success and fame of her celebrity son, Nanay Myrna chose to live in her simple surroundings and never even dreamt of traveling outside the Philippines. But due to the insistence of her son, she managed to obtain a 10-year multiple entry visa to visit the US. Experience the rest of her colorful story and the obstacles she faced on Citizen Pinoy’s season premiere.
