REDWOOD CITY, Calif. --- So many Filipinos are forced to leave everything behind, including their families, in order to pursue a better life in the U.S. Parents who leave their children behind, wonder if they may ever be able to see them again.
On the next episode of CITIZEN PINOY , Atty. Michael J. Gurfinkel shows our Kapamilya how it is possible to reunite with your family in the U.S., even if you are out of status (TNT) and separated for many years.
Atty. Gurfinkel, with TV personality Gel Santos-Relos and Daly City Mayor Atty. Mike Guingona, reunite Dorotea Sarming (whose story was also featured in last season's episode of Citizen Pinoy) with her 18-year old daughter Dinah. When Dorotea left the Philippines to pursue the "American Dream" in the US, Dinah was only nine (9) years old.
In House Calls , Atty. Guingona sits down with Manny Gines, whose son aged-out (turned 21) due to a simple error, but may still be eligible to immigrate. And in Michael Matters , Atty. Gurfinkel discusses visas for family members, in order to care for elderly parents in the U.S.
