Comedienne Fe delos Reyes discovers
that ASYLUM and DEPORTATION are No Laughing Matter on this Sunday's edition of CITIZEN PINOY

Singer-Comedienne FE DE LOS REYES shares the ups & downs and highlights of her immigration case, including her close brush with deportation, with Atty. Mike Guingona and leading immigration lawyer Atty. Michael J. Gurfinkel on this Sunday's episode of CITIZEN PINOY (May 22 at 5 p.m. on TFC)
Comedienne and singer Fe delos Reyes has always wanted to make it big in America, hoping that she could be the first Filipina comedienne to be successful in US mainstream comedy. When she decided to go solo, her band, "Music and Magic" broke up and she bid Manila goodbye at the peak of her career.
When she came to the US as a tourist, it was difficult for her to secure a working permit. Her status running out, she was desperate to try other measures to be able to prolong and validate her stay in the USA. People were giving her advise, and a "friend of a friend" referred her to an immigration "consultant" who advised Fe to apply for political asylum. Little did she know that this step would nearly get her into trouble. And it seemed like the deeper she got into the rut, the more hopeless she became, and her dream of being able to share her music and laughter to the people eluded her even more. Fe was now a "candidate" for deportation.
The most difficult experience was when her father became very sick and she could not go home to visit, until the day her father died, Fe never made it home. Suddenly the once bright and cheerful world of this funny woman has turned dark and gloomy. And then, Atty. Michael J. Gurfinkel stepped in and "saved the show.!"
With the thorough help and well-researched legal assistance provided by the Law Offices of Atty. Gurfinkel, Fe's petition for a greencard was approved in the highest category available: Aliens of Extraordinary Ability. Nowadays, the laughter resonates even louder and with more sparkle, because Fe can now claim the American stage as her own.
Listen and learn from the serious issues and concerns behind the comedienne's funny façade this coming Sunday, May 22 , when CITIZEN PINOY features the biggest fear of most Filipino immigrants --- POLITICAL ASYLUM and DEPORTATION on its third episode.
