Kahit nasaan ka man, kapamilya ka!!!

That is why CITIZEN PINOY went to the East Coast to listen "first hand" to the immigration issues of our kapamilya in New York.   Citizen Pinoy hosts Atty. Mike Guingona, Odette Alcazaren-Keeley and leading immigration lawyer Atty. Michael J. Gurfinkel were met by an enthusiastic crowd of Filipino-Americans at the ABS-CBN International/TFC (The Filipino Channel)/ Citizen Pinoy booth along Madison Avenue and 26 th Street in Manhattan, NYC, during the Philippine Independence Day Parade.

Our Kapamilya from New York were shaking hands, getting autographs, posing for photo opportunities and cheering the three hosts.   Indeed, the warm and positive reception of the Filipino-American community in the East Coast is a clear indication that CITIZEN PINOY has endeared itself to the viewers through its mission of public service.   The crowd asked questions to Atty. Gurfinkel regarding their immigration problems, which he answered to the delight of the crowd.

This Sunday (July 24), CITIZEN PINOY features the immigration concerns of our kapamilya from the East Coast.

The show also features a tour of the US Embassy in Manila, with Atty. Gurfinkel interviewing the former Consul General, who provides viewers with vital information on the procedures for obtaining visas.   The Consul General will answer some of the commonly asked questions and concerns of Filipinos applying for visas.   He will also explain how or why visas are denied and/or granted.

This special episode airs on the tail of the hugely successful TFC Kapamilya Summer Caravan sa Amerika (in Los Angeles last July 16 and in San Francisco on July 23) - proof of ABS-CBN International and TFC's commitment to bringing entertainment and public service to the Filipino wherever he may be.

Indeed, the partnership of the first and only truly global Filipino network: ABS-CBN, and the leading US immigration offices of Atty. Michael J. Gurfinkel is a match made in heaven for the entire Filipino community worldwide.

CITIZEN PINOY airs on TFC every Sunday at 5 p.m. , with replays every Monday at 4 a.m. , and on ANC-USA every Friday at 8 p.m. (all Pacific Standard Time) .    In the Philippines, the show airs every Saturday at 11 a.m. on ANC (ABS-CBN News Channel).
